Custom Material and Style Selection
You choose from wood, faux wood, or composite materials based on your budget, the room, and how much humidity that space sees. We also help you select louver width, paint or stain color, tilt rod style, and automation and motorization features for effortless control. Our team guides you toward options—across all styles and brands—that work well for Athens’s warm, humid climate without looking generic.
Professional Installation by Local Experts
Our installers handle every mount point, hinge, and alignment detail so your shutters hang perfectly from day one. We also offer window treatment installation for other treatments throughout your home if you want a consistent look across multiple rooms. When Do You Need Custom Plantation Shutters?
There are several situations where Athens homeowners decide it is time to upgrade their windows with plantation shutters. Sometimes it is a renovation trigger, and sometimes it is simply that the old window coverings have run their course.
Your Existing Blinds or Curtains Are Worn Out
Fabric blinds fade, warp, and break over time, especially in rooms that get strong afternoon sun common to homes in Athens. If you are constantly replacing broken slats or wrestling with tangled cords, it is a good sign you are ready for something more durable or modern. Automation and motorization features remove hardware strain entirely, while modern plantation shutters are built to last for decades with minimal upkeep.
You Are Renovating or Remodeling Your Home
A kitchen update, bathroom refresh, or whole-home remodel is the perfect time to add shutters while walls and trim are already being touched. Older homes in Athens, particularly those built before the 1980s, often have non-standard window sizes that require a custom fit. Pairing your renovation with our custom window treatment design service ensures your shutters match the finished look perfectly across all styles and brands.
You Want Better Light Control and Privacy
Athens summers bring intense heat and bright sun that can make rooms uncomfortable and fade furniture. Plantation shutters give you precise control over how much light enters each room without blocking the view entirely. They also provide strong privacy for street-facing rooms without the heaviness of thick curtains.
If any of these situations sound familiar, now is a good time to schedule a consultation before another season passes.
